The Larrikins (AKA MidiEval) is a two piece band featuring Paul and Rod, who sing lead and harmony vocals and play guitars to midi accompaniment.
They specialises in close vocal harmonies of the music of the 60's 70's and 80's, and with their wide musical tastes, their extensive repertoire can cater for any function.
Paul's floor show is funny, clever, and features his impersonations of a number of well known characters which adds to the versatility of the overall package.
Rod was playing rock & roll and trad jazz around Melbourne town in the early 70's before moving to Adelaide where he met up with Paul who at the time, was a regular performer around the clubs in Adelaide. Together they went on to form the Mobius Show Band, becoming over the next 10 years, one of the most sought after cabaret bands in South Australia.
Over the years Paul and Rod have played together in numerous lineups and apart from performing for major corporate functions Australia wide, Paul and Rod have performed at other major Australian venues such as the Tunarama festival in SA, the Victorian Jazz Festivals, the Lord Mayor's ball in both Melbourne and Adelaide etc etc. Their international experience includes playing in London (Rod), several venues in New York (Paul), and for several years, expatriate balls in Kuala Lumpur.
If appropriate, the band can be expanded to a 5 piece harmony combo featuring other internationally experienced musicians. This combo performs at larger functions several times a year and their strong musical links (some of which go back together over thirty something years), enables them to put a seamless show together at virtually no notice.
